That being said, my post "Blockhead" is included in the July edition of Carnival of Quotes, which of course has been out for about a month, but slow-ass me, I just found out about it. As usual, this interesting variety pack of posts is hosted by Thoughts On Quotes. Inspired by quotes being the only criterion (and hopefully quality of course), there's no telling what you might find...

Well, they say that anything everyone has ever learnt we also know, because we can drink from the source of all knowledge. I do believe that we are all connected through a collective subconsciousness. Looking at it like that, we do truly have everything we ever need to know in ourselves. A comforting thought, I think.

yeah! what is that little thing in the sketch? he looked a bit froggy or something but I was wondering!
Yoga Gal and Chedwick,for one thing I should've given credit to the original artist, Alex Nino, a gifted illustrator from the Philipines(sp?), who was pretty big over here in the 80's, due to exposure in the comics magazine Heavy Metal. This sketch is my conte crayon copy of an ink drawing of his featured in that zine. As it was a stand alone end piece (or back cover, I forget) with no narration, there's no tellin' what that critter is.

You have to love using contes.
I went through a whole sketchbook one time trying to draw a person in a figure drawing class.
I had the "one" that actually turned out for years, and then moved and left it all behind! ; (

Coffee, yes, contes are great. I haven't used them in a while, but they are one of the best sketching tools.
